Stotts Creek is a locality situated southwest of Tweed Heads in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, in the local government area of Tweed Shire. Stotts Creek is in the state electorate of Tweed and the federal division of Richmond. Stotts Creek includes Stotts Island within its folds, a large island on the Tweed River, separated from the southern bank of the river by Stotts Channel.
Stotts Island Nature Reserve was established in 1971 and covers an area of 142 hectares on the river island. The island features an impressive array of flora and fauna, among them 47 species of birds, 6 species of lizards, 3 species of snakes and 3 species of frogs.
Stotts Island and Stotts Island Nature Reserve are found in the north of Stotts Creek, surrounded by the Tweed River and Stotts Channel. Separate from this unique river island, Stotts Creek is largely an agricultural area. Tropical Fruit World is found near Stotts Creek’s eastern boundary.
