Palm Beach is a coastal suburb of the Gold Coast situated north of Tweed Heads in the local government area of the City of Gold Coast. Palm Beach developed in the 1920s and was subdivided in the 1950s. Palm Beach Baptist Church opened in 1928 and Palm Beach Surf Club was established in 1930. Palm Beach-Currumbin State High School and Palm Beach State School opened in 1972 and 1974 respectively. The Keep Australia Beautiful Council judged Palm Beach Queensland’s Cleanest Beach in 1999, 2000 and 2011.
