Cobaki 

Cobaki a town situated west of Tweed Heads in the Northern Rivers region New South Wales. The town forms part of the local government area of the Tweed Shire. Cobaki is part of the state electorate of Tweed and the federal division of Richmond. Cobaki enjoys proximity to a number of beautiful ocean beaches and the New South Wales Queensland state border. The town is located between Cobaki Lakes to the north and Carool to the south.

History

Cobaki had a population of 225 people in 2011 when the last census took place. At this time, aside from English, French and Mandarin were the most commonly spoken languages at home. Cobaki’s median age was slightly above the Australian median, owing to the Northern Rivers’ popularity with retirees thanks to its warm weather and tranquil beachside lifestyle.
